Position summary

Valiss Home LLC is building a residential home-services platform in Dallas-Fort Worth, beginning with rooftop solar, battery storage and related electrical work. We are seeking a Texas-licensed Master Electrician who can serve as the company's Master Electrician of Record and lead field execution as Texas Field Operations Manager. Reporting to the CEO, this person will own electrical compliance, subcontractor performance, permitting support, safety and workmanship. This is an operating role, not a passive license arrangement. The role will translate Valiss standards into consistent field execution and help build a repeatable field operation across DFW.

Required qualifications

· Active Texas Master Electrician license in good standing.

· Legally eligible and available to be assigned as Valiss Home LLC’s Master Electrician of Record. The candidate must disclose every current contractor assignment and any ownership or employment relationship that could affect TDLR eligibility.

· Demonstrated experience supervising residential electrical work; solar photovoltaic and battery-storage experience strongly preferred.

· Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code, Texas licensing requirements and DFW permitting and inspection practices.

· Valid driver’s license and ability to visit job sites throughout the DFW market.

· Demonstrated ability to execute and enforce premium workmanship standards across multiple crews and projects.

· Strong judgment, documentation habits and willingness to stop work that is unsafe, noncompliant or below Valiss standards.

Primary responsibilitiesLicensing and electrical compliance

· Serve as Valiss’s Master Electrician of Record and perform the duties required by TDLR and applicable law.

· Maintain an active license and required continuing education; immediately report any complaint, investigation, restriction, lapse or change that could affect the company.

· Review electrical scopes, plans and installation standards; establish documented approval and escalation procedures.

· Maintain the Master Electrician assignment and related documentation required for Valiss's electrical contractor license, and support permit applications, inspections and corrections across Valiss service territories.

Field operations and subcontractor management

· Qualify, onboard and oversee installation subcontractors.

· Verify licenses, insurance, crew qualifications, tools, safety practices and capacity before assigning work.

· For each project, communicate the approved scope and enforce consistent construction standards, applicable financing-partner photo and milestone requirements and established acceptance criteria.

· Conduct risk-based site audits and final quality reviews; track defects, callbacks and inspection failures to closure.

· Coordinate schedules with project management, sales partners, utilities, AHJs and customers.

· Own escalation of field incidents, property damage, safety events, failed inspections and workmanship disputes.

Systems and continuous improvement

· Build practical SOPs, checklists and scorecards for subcontractor onboarding, installation, inspection and closeout.

· Use Valiss systems consistently and require complete, accurate project documentation from field partners.

· Report weekly on schedule performance, inspection pass rate, cycle time, callbacks, safety and subcontractor capacity.

· Recommend changes that improve quality, speed and cost without weakening compliance or customer experience.

Preferred experience

· Five or more years in residential electrical field leadership.

· Direct experience with rooftop solar, batteries and service upgrades.

· Experience managing independent installation crews across multiple jurisdictions.

· Comfortable working in a lean company where the manager initially performs both leadership and hands-on field oversight.
