We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and mechanical systems. Duties

Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
Install new HVAC equipment and mechanical systems following schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design specifications.
Conduct routine maintenance to ensure systems operate efficiently and reliably; troubleshoot electrical diagnostics and mechanical issues proactively.
Utilize hand tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to identify faults in electrical systems and mechanical components.
Repair or replace defective parts such as compressors, fans, valves, thermostats, electrical wiring, and plumbing components.
Assist with system upgrades or modifications based on client needs or building automation requirements.
Maintain detailed service records, complete reports on repairs performed, and communicate effectively with clients about system status and maintenance recommendations.

Skills

Extensive construction experience combined with service technician expertise in HVAC/R systems.
Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, electrical diagnostics, refrigeration cycles, plumbing systems, and mechanical systems repair.
Proficiency with HVAC system installation, maintenance procedures, and equipment troubleshooting techniques.
Mechanical knowledge of boilers, ammonia refrigeration systems, building automation systems (BAS), electrical systems, and property maintenance practices.
Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and specialized diagnostic tools for equipment repair.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; experience with HVAC/R field service is highly preferred.
Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals accurately; experience with HVAC system design is a plus.
Mechanical or mechanic experience in related fields; property maintenance background is advantageous.
Valid van driver’s license for safe transportation between job sites; familiarity with ammonia refrigeration is a bonus.
