HVAC Service Technician - Heating & Cooling

Come Help Us Build Something Different

Caples Mechanical is a growing, family-owned plumbing, heating and cooling company based in Wilmington, Massachusetts. We're looking for an HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in their work, cares about customers and wants to be part of a company where their contributions truly matter.

We're not looking to simply fill another truck. We're looking for the right person to help us build something special.

Founded by two brothers who bring complementary backgrounds in the skilled trades and business leadership, Caples Mechanical was built around a simple belief: take care of your people, take care of your customers, and build a company everyone can be proud of.

We believe in doing what's right for the customer, not just what's best for the next sale. That means honest recommendations, quality workmanship, clear communication and treating every customer's home with respect. We're not interested in high-pressure sales tactics or pushing unnecessary repairs and replacements. We want technicians who earn customers' trust by doing the right thing.

We bring that same philosophy to our team. We believe great employees deserve to be treated fairly, trusted to do their jobs, heard when they have ideas and given opportunities to grow alongside the business.

We're still building Caples Mechanical, and that's part of what makes this opportunity exciting. The right person won't just be joining another HVAC company. They'll have an opportunity to help shape what this company becomes.

Assist with HVAC installations and system replacements as needed.
Communicate professionally with homeowners, explain findings and recommend appropriate solutions without high-pressure sales tactics.
Maintain accurate service documentation and treat customers' homes and property with care.
Work collaboratively with the Caples team to deliver quality workmanship and an exceptional customer experience.

We're open to both experienced service technicians and motivated technicians who are earlier in their careers and looking to develop their skills.

Hands-on HVAC service, maintenance or troubleshooting experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
Willingness to work on oil-fired heating systems, with training as appropriate.

Why Caples Mechanical?

We're building more than another plumbing and HVAC company. We're building a team of people who take pride in their work, care about their customers and want to be part of something they can help shape.

At Caples, you'll work directly with ownership, have a voice in how we operate and have the opportunity to take on greater responsibility as the business grows.

We're a small, family-owned company with ambitious goals, but we believe how we grow matters just as much as how much we grow.

We're looking for people who share that philosophy and want to build something they're proud to be part of.
