Caples Mechanical is a growing, family-owned plumbing, heating and cooling company based in Wilmington, Massachusetts. We're looking for an HVAC Service Technician who takes pride in their work, cares about customers and wants to be part of a company where their contributions truly matter.

What You'll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, service and repair residential heating and cooling systems.
- Work on furnaces, boilers, central air conditioning systems, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits.
- Perform preventive maintenance, seasonal tune-ups and system inspections.
- Service oil-fired heating equipment based on experience and training.
- Assist with HVAC installations and system replacements as needed.
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, explain findings and recommend appropriate solutions without high-pressure sales tactics.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and treat customers' homes and property with care.
- Work collaboratively with the Caples team to deliver quality workmanship and an exceptional customer experience.
What We're Looking For
We're open to both experienced service technicians and motivated technicians who are earlier in their careers and looking to develop their skills.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on HVAC service, maintenance or troubleshooting experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
- Willingness to work on oil-fired heating systems, with training as appropriate.
- Professional communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Dependability, accountability and pride in workmanship.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and contribute to a growing team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience servicing residential boilers, furnaces and central air conditioning systems.
- Heat pump and ductless mini-split experience.
- Oil burner service experience and applicable licensing.
- EPA Section 608 certification.
- HVAC installation experience.
- Plumbing service, repair or installation experience.
- Relevant Massachusetts trade licenses or certifications.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
