Job Overview
Micro Tech is seeking an Assembler to join our clients HVAC Manufacturing team. This is a Contract-Hire position, $20.00-$23.00/Hour DOE. Hours are Monday through Friday 6:00AM to 2:00PM.
What you’ll do
- Will be assembling products according to customers’ needs, following blueprints, specific job specifications, and oral and other written specifications
- Plans assembly procedures, following specifications and using knowledge gained by experience
- Mounts and connects auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic or hydraulic equipment; cuts and fits pipe and tubing
- Removes small quantities of metal, using hand files or portable grinders, to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts. Drills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press or portable drill
- Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets them together, using hand tools or portable powered tools
- Installs moving parts, such as shafts, levers, or bearings, and works them to test free movement
- May bend and install pipe for hydraulic systems. May align and mesh gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears
- Other duties as assigned
Basic qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or factory setting is preferred
- Mechanical knowledge to understand assembly processes and troubleshoot issues
Required qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast paced, large manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate a crane to load large coils of sheet metal to the metal prep area
- Ability to set up the cut-to-length machine for accurately cutting large sheets of sheet metal
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with the assistance of another employee or using a cart
- Standing a minimum of 8 hours a day
