Job Overview:

We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, reliable Welder/Fabricator to join our team.

Currently, we work 5, 8-hour shifts with the shop open 6:00am to 4:30pm. Half of our employees work 6:00am - 2:30pm, with the other half working 8:00am - 4:30pm. Both include a 30 minute unpaid lunch with 2, 15-minute paid breaks.

*Comes with a $3/hour shift differential

Monday-Friday with overtime, including Saturdays, may be worked regularly and will be an expectation of employment.

Description

Mig and sometimes stick weld parts
Clean and maintain welding machines, tools, tips, etc. as needed.
Position, align, and secure work against fixtures to maintain accuracy and consistency.
Follow shop policy outlined in company handbook
Maintain a clean and safe work area, including aisles, weld booths, and machines.
Cross train in other work areas and rotate in and out consistently for better flexibility.
Produce a quality product regardless of the operation being performed.
Communicate equipment issues to the Production Manager or foreman.
Adhere to all departmental and company-wide safety and procedural policies.
Any other duties as assigned by production management or foreman.

Welding Operations

Pass the entry level welding test, as assigned and evaluated by the Production Manager or foreman
Demonstrate an ability to adjust equipment settings to accurately and consistently weld product
Ability to work independently on either a GMAW or SMAW machine
Consistently produce a quality product by remaining within tolerances specified on the prints

Requirements

The right candidate for this position will have Mig and stick welding skills.
1-2 years GMAW & SMAW experience necessary
Ability to read blueprints is helpful
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs & stand the entire shift
We are looking for a self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment
Must be willing to cross train into other jobs and have an excellent work ethic.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Welding certificate not required but must be able to pass AWS welding test within 2 months
