Mesa Overland builds high-end composite expedition campers and overland rigs designed for serious off-grid travel. We’re looking for a skilled Electrical & Systems Specialist who understands complete vehicle systems — electrical, heating, and plumbing — and knows how to integrate them cleanly and safely.

This is a hands-on role for someone experienced with custom vans, expedition trucks, marine systems, or high-end RVs who wants to build things the right way.

What You’ll Be Working On

12V, 24V, 48V, and 120V electrical systems
Victron-based systems (Lynx, Cerbo GX, inverters, chargers, DC-DC)
Battery banks and power distribution
120V AC systems (inverter-fed, shore input integration when applicable, breakers, outlets)
Rixen hydronic heating systems (floor heat, domestic hot water, air heat)
Diesel heaters and auxiliary heating systems
Water systems: pumps, tanks, filtration, plumbing
Wiring, loom, labeling, documentation, and troubleshooting
Coordinating with fabrication, cabinetry, and design teams to integrate systems cleanly

What We’re Looking For

Strong experience with Victron or equivalent high-end marine/van electrical systems
Comfortable working across 12V, 24V, 48V, and 120V architectures
Experience with Rixen hydronic systems or similar strongly preferred
Solid understanding of AC/DC safety, grounding, and best practices
Ability to read diagrams, plan system layouts, and troubleshoot independently
Clean workmanship, attention to detail, and pride in doing things right
Bonus (not required): fabrication, CAD, or system design experience

High-end, off-grid focused expedition builds
Not mass-production RV work
No campground-centric systems
Small team, high accountability, minimal bureaucracy

Pay & Structure

Pay is DOE and competitive for the right experience
Opportunity to start slightly lower with clear pay increases after a successful trial
Trial period typically 14–30 days
Long-term position available for the right fit

Housing & Relocation

No paid housing provided
On-site apartments available for the right candidate during trial and potentially beyond
Open to out-of-area candidates willing to relocate
