Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Installer Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, ventilation systems, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and design specifications
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC equipment, including refrigeration systems, ammonia refrigeration units, plumbing connections, and appliance repairs
- Conduct system diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices to identify issues accurately
- Weld and fabricate components as needed using welding techniques to ensure secure installations and repairs
- Operate a variety of mechanical tools and equipment for installation, maintenance, and repair tasks
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for documentation and quality assurance purposes
- Ensure compliance with safety standards such as proper handling of refrigerants (including refrigerant recovery) and adherence to environmental regulations
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC systems, boilers, pumps, motors, and property maintenance
- Hands-on experience with schematics reading, HVAC design principles, and equipment repair techniques
- Field service experience working directly with clients in residential or commercial settings
- Familiarity with plumbing systems associated with HVAC installations
- Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; driver certification preferred
- Knowledge of welding techniques and equipment repair procedures is advantageous
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively
- Basic understanding of electrical systems related to HVAC components
