Maintenance Worker - Carpentry/General Plumbing/Painting/Grounds

Children's Summer Camp just outside Kent, CT is looking for a responsible individual to assist in: carpentry (main focus), general repairs, plumbing, painting, tree/brush clearing & weed-whacking and general maintenance.

Must have the energy and positive attitude to listen, learn, and work in a team setting. The individual should have good communication skills, work well with others, and be self-motivated. Even though you will not be directly working with children, we run an Office of Early Childhood Background Check (childcare facility)

Our maintenance team currently consists of a certified carpenter and certified electrician, both who are also skilled in plumbing and general maintenance, so the individual would be the 3rd member of a highly skilled team. In the summer the team increases to 12 additional team members of varying skills with 800 people on site (campers and staff).

Experience: 2 years minimum (Required)
License: Drivers (Required), ability to safely drive and operate a tractor also required
Work Week: Monday - Friday from mid-September to mid-May, 6 days per week during mid-May to mid-September
Typical start time each day: 7:00am
Typical end time each day: 3:30pm
From mid-May - mid-September: 3 Meals a day (included)
Benefits: Paid time off, optional health care.
Pay Frequency: Once per month.
