Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing facility. This role is vital in ensuring the continuous operation, safety, and efficiency of industrial equipment and systems. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot complex machinery, and support production processes by applying technical expertise across various disciplines. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic skills are essential for maintaining optimal operational performance.
Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Operate and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to ensure automation systems function correctly.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Perform welding operations, including welding techniques, to repair or fabricate parts as needed.
- Assist with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems maintenance to ensure optimal climate control within the facility.
- Use precision measuring instruments for alignment and calibration of machinery.
- Support field service activities by troubleshooting equipment issues on-site at various locations within the manufacturing environment.
- Follow safety protocols related to high voltage systems and low voltage electrical work to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
Requirements
- Proven industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience in industrial settings.
- Familiarity with schematics, technical drawings, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electricians’ tools, and control systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R systems, and welding techniques
- Ability to operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely.
- Experience working with CMMS software for maintenance management.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters for diagnostics.
- Understanding of high voltage and low voltage electrical systems for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with customer service orientation when supporting internal teams or external clients.
- Additional experience in military or field service roles is advantageous due to discipline and technical training background.
- Fluency in English is required for effective communication across diverse teams.
