Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake machines to fabricate precision sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure that products meet strict quality standards while maintaining efficient production workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to high-quality fabrication projects in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is energetic, proactive, and passionate about manufacturing excellence.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC press brake machines, ensuring precise bending of sheet metal according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications
- Program CNC press brakes using CAD/CAM software, adjusting parameters for optimal performance and accuracy
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical drawings to determine bending sequences and tooling requirements
- Conduct routine inspections of finished parts using calipers, micrometers, precision measuring instruments, and quality inspection tools to verify dimensions and tolerances
- Select appropriate tooling and tooling adjustments to achieve desired bend angles and radii while minimizing material waste
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC press brake equipment, including calibration, lubrication, and troubleshooting mechanical or electrical issues
- Collaborate with fabrication teams to coordinate workflow involving CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, machining (CNC lathe, milling machine), and assembly processes
- Operate hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other mechanical equipment safely within the manufacturing environment
- Maintain accurate production logs, shift reports, and inspection records to ensure traceability and quality compliance
Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages and software used for press brake operations
- Familiarity with CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC lathe, milling machines, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus
- Ability to read complex blueprints with GD&T specifications accurately
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, and material quantities
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including welding, assembly, tooling selection, and quality inspection procedures
- Safety-conscious mindset with experience operating cranes or forklifts in a manufacturing environment
Join us in shaping the future of manufacturing by bringing precision craftsmanship to life! We value energetic team players who are committed to quality excellence. If you thrive in a collaborative environment where your skills make a real impact—this is the perfect opportunity for you!
