This position will assist Concrete Placing Co., Inc.’s bridge construction division. The Crane Operators duties include effectively executing crane operating procedures in a safe and efficient manner. Tasks will include assembly of cranes, daily inspections, routine maintenance, lifting, hoisting, directing rigging of various loads as required, disassembly of cranes and planning of all critical lifts.

Responsibilities

Establish and communicate goals with coworkers and managers to ensure each lift is performed safely and successfully.
Develops and manages the lift plan for all critical lifts.
Drive and maneuver crane around various worksites as required of the project superintendent.
Perform & document daily inspections of the operated equipment.
Perform routine daily maintenance.
Report any needed repairs.
Assemble & disassemble cranes.
High level of knowledge concerning safe rigging practices and measures.

Qualifications

1. NCCCO lattice boom truck crane certification (or equivalent) is required.

2. Thorough knowledge of rigging & signaling practices.

3. Friction crane experience preferred.

4. Class A CDL is a plus.

5. Pile driving experience is a plus

6. Travel may be required. Subsistence for out of area worksites provided by CPC.
