Gillmann Services is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team, supporting a variety of construction and maintenance projects across commercial and industrial settings. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in accordance with safety standards and electrical codes. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical experience, including familiarity with low and high voltage systems, blueprint reading, and the use of specialized tools.
Duties:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and systems in commercial and industrial environments.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute electrical installations.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Conduct testing and inspections using instruments like ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters to ensure system integrity.
- Follow electrical codes such as the National Electrical Code (NEC) to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Work on construction sites performing framing carpentry tasks related to electrical infrastructure setup.
- Diagnose electrical issues involving low voltage, high voltage, or complex circuitry; implement effective solutions promptly.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and resolve technical challenges.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols and industry best practices to prevent hazards.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings is required.
- Familiarity with construction site procedures including framing carpentry related to electrical installations.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage applications.
- Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with testing instruments such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and schematics interpretation tools.
- Hands-on experience with power tools and hand tools essential for installation tasks.
- Ability to work effectively on construction sites while maintaining safety standards.
- Prior experience working with NEC guidelines is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of electrical theory combined with practical application skills.
