Description
The Chiller Service Technician (CST) is responsible for maintaining, updating, and servicing Chiller equipment
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Interact with Customers (internal and external) in a courteous and professional manner to solve the assigned service issues
- Chiller technicians must understand basic electrical theory, including voltage, circuits, and wiring
- Troubleshoot and identify issues with both electrical and mechanical components
- Perform chiller-planned maintenance and modifications in a timely manner with minimal supervision, ensuring full adherence to the manufacturer's recommendations
- When a system malfunctions, chiller technicians must diagnose the issue and find the best solution
- Continuously improve and expand knowledge and expertise in repairing and servicing chiller equipment
- Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the full functionality of all chiller brands, including KKT, Dimplex, Haskris, and others
- Proficient in utilizing all tools required for chiller servicing
- Demonstrates best practice for parts replacement and handling
- Complete required documentation on a timely and legible basis as requested
- Responsible for picking up parts ordered for assigned jobs, returning defective or unused parts, and documenting parts used per company policy and procedure
- Work overtime as necessary during on-call weeks and at other times as required
- Actively participate in training courses

- Ensure accurate entry of all service orders into the software system

Qualifications
- Technical degree or equivalent experience with a background in analog and/or digital systems. Minimum of one-year
- Must have 4-5 + years of experience as a Chiller Technician.
- Must have HVAC certification (A or B) and EPA certification section 608.
- Experience that is sufficient to demonstrate knowledge of troubleshooting with hardware components and software.
- Skilled in medical or other system repair and installation, customer service experience, and good oral communication is preferred. Basic math functions and reasoning ability are required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38.26 - $48.42 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
