Job Description

Construction SCA Project Manager - Manhattan, NY

- Manage all phases of SCA projects including preconstruction planning, budgeting, procurement, and execution.
- Lead coordination with architects, engineers, SCA representatives, school officials, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Oversee project financials: buyouts, forecasting, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and payment requisitions.
- Ensure full compliance with SCA standards, prevailing wage requirements, safety regulations, and all public‑agency documentation.
- Partner closely with field Superintendents to manage logistics, phasing, occupied school conditions, and tight summer schedules.
- Run progress meetings, maintain detailed reporting, and proactively resolve design, scope, or field issues.
- Oversee closeout procedures, punch lists, commissioning, and turnover packages.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Construction SCA Project Manager should have:

- 5-10+ years of experience as a Project Manager in public‑sector construction with direct SCA project experience.
- Strong understanding of public‑agency workflows, compliance documentation, prevailing wages, and occupied‑facility protocols.
- Excellent communication and client‑facing skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and demanding timelines.
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and adept at managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or similar preferred.
