Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Low Voltage Project Manager / Estimator to lead and execute low voltage electrical projects with precision and enthusiasm. In this role, you will oversee the planning, estimating, and management of low voltage systems including security, data, audio-visual, and communication networks. Your expertise will drive project success from initial bid to completion, ensuring quality, safety, and client satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects within a collaborative team environment, utilizing your technical skills and project management prowess to deliver outstanding results.
Duties
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive construction estimates for low voltage projects using construction estimating software and industry best practices.
- Review project schematics, blueprints, and contracts to develop detailed project scopes and cost analyses.
- Collaborate closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to coordinate project requirements and schedules.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment such as conduit, cabling, switches, and other low voltage components.
- Lead on-site project coordination efforts, ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality control, and construction site protocols.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to interpret design intent and technical specifications for installation teams.
- Monitor project budgets and timelines diligently while managing multiple stakeholders’ expectations effectively.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, resolve issues promptly, and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction estimating for low voltage systems including security systems, data networks, audio-visual setups, and telecommunications.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, contracts management, and construction site safety protocols.
- Excellent project scheduling skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, team members, vendors, and subcontractors across diverse projects.
- Demonstrated ability in project management including budgeting, time management, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
- Hands-on experience with construction site activities related to low voltage installations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation such as change orders, progress reports, and compliance records.
