- Crane Operation: Safely and efficiently operate a variety of cranes, including tower cranes, mobile cranes, and crawler cranes, as per project requirements.
- Load Management: Properly inspect and secure loads before lifting to ensure stability and prevent accidents or damage to materials and equipment.
- Site Setup: Assist in setting up the crane, including leveling and securing it, and ensuring its stability and safety.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with the construction team, supervisors, and signal persons to ensure safe and accurate crane movements.
- Safety Compliance: Comply with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections of the crane and associated equipment, identifying and reporting any faults or issues for timely repairs and maintenance.
- Rigging: Skillfully rig and de-rig loads, employing appropriate equipment and techniques to handle various materials safely.
- Lift Planning: Collaborate with project managers and supervisors to plan and execute lifts, considering factors such as weight, dimensions, reach, and site conditions.
- Weather Awareness: Stay vigilant about changing weather conditions and their potential impact on crane operations, taking necessary precautions to ensure safety.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily crane activities, including lift logs, inspections, and maintenance records.
- Training: Keep up-to-date with the latest crane operation techniques, safety guidelines, and certifications, attending relevant training programs as required.
- Valid and current Crane Operator certification/license.
- NCCCO Certified or willing to take the course to become certified.
- Have a CDL driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively on short notice.
- Proven experience as a Crane Operator in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of crane operation techniques, familiar with 300-ton cranes, rigging procedures, and load management.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices for crane operations.
- Ability to interpret lift plans, blueprints, and specifications.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to precision and safety.
