Garden State Security Group is seeking an experienced and reliable Fire & Security Alarm Technician / Installer to join our team. This role requires the ability to work independently in the field while collaborating with the team as needed.

What You’ll Do

Install, program, service, and troubleshoot:
Burglar and fire alarm systems
CCTV/video surveillance systems
Access control and related equipment
Diagnose and resolve system issues using proper test equipment and troubleshooting methods
Perform repairs, part replacements, and system upgrades
Complete scheduled service, maintenance, and occasional emergency/after-hours calls
Maintain clean and organized work sites and company vehicle
Communicate professionally with customers and provide excellent service
Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
Assist on larger projects when needed (no supervisory duties)
Other job-related tasks as assigned
Required Skills & Experience

What We are Looking for

MUST HAVE hands-on field experience installing and programming the following systems (or comparable): Alarm.com, Napco, Honeywell, 2GIG, Qolsys, FireLite, Silent Knight, DSC, Turing, PDK, Hikvision, LTS.
Technical experience with fire alarm and/or electronic security systems
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Mechanical/electrical aptitude; proficiency with hand and power tools
Professional communication and customer-service skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean record
Ability to lift 40lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments
Ability to keep a clean work area and vehicle
Must provide basic hand tools (power tools provided)
Dependability, punctuality, and good time-management

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
