Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems including Access Control type systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. This role requires 5-7 years of experience in low voltage and access controls. Typical equipment includes:
Door Controllers/Keypads
Mag Locks
Attaching to Fire system
Nurse Call equipment
CCTV
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, Nurse Call systems, and access control systems.
- Detect and resolve issues with existing low voltage systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding system functionality and maintenance needs.
- Document all work performed, including installation details, service reports, and any necessary follow-up actions.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or in a similar role as a service technician. 5-7 years requirement
- Strong knowledge of low voltage electrical systems, including but not limited to, surveillance (CCTV), and cabling and access controls.
- Ability to telecommunicate effectively with team members and clients for project coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
We provide elopement prevention systems and nurse call systems for Healthcare facilities across the South East. Travel could be 50% of the time. Ability to dispatch from home is available if not in the Cookeville area.
