Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic tech with the A-Level Auto Body Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and maintaining vehicles with precision and care. Your expertise will help ensure that each vehicle leaves our shop looking its best, meeting both safety standards and customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of automotive repairs, from collision damage to detailed refinishing, all while contributing to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural alignment using advanced techniques and tools.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding methods to restore vehicle frames and panels securely.
- Use frame machine to complete frame repairs
- Fabricate sheet metal parts and components as needed for custom repairs or restorations.
- Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for disassembly, assembly, sanding, detailing, and finishing tasks.
- Assist with auto restoration projects by restoring vintage or damaged vehicles to their original condition.
- Perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as minor mechanical repairs, auto estimating, and general automotive repair procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards while maintaining a clean workspace.
Requirements
- Prior extensive background in auto body repair (3-5+ years) is required.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of various hand and power tools.
- Technician must provide tools.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair, auto painting, auto glass installation, and vehicle maintenance.
- Experience working with sheet metal, auto restoration projects, and auto estimating software is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repair processes.
- Knowledge of airless paint spraying techniques and auto painting procedures is desirable.
