Turret Operator

- 1st Shfit : 7am - 3:30pm M-F
- Temp to Perm
- $250 Sign on Bonus once perm
- Pay Range $22-$26/hr (DOE)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Turret Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Turret Operator is responsible for operating a turret punch press to punch holes or layout marks in metal sheets, plates, strips, or bars according to machine charts and specifications.
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate turret punch press following charts that list machine settings for each cut
- Insert, align, and lock punches and dies in turret using hammer, shims, feelers, micrometers, and setscrews
- Align work piece to scale and end gauge on machine and clamp it to machine table
- Push button to turn turret to specified punch and die
- Turn cranks to set indicator to specified dimension on forward and lateral machine scale
- Operate machine settings as specified on charts
- Position center punch from turret to touch plate and turn crank to scratch layout lines
- Compute punch charts from blueprints using square, scale, and shop mathematics (as required)
- Inspect finished parts to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety procedures and production guidelines
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of shop mathematics
- Ability to use precision measuring tools
- Basic computer skills required
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook (or other email platforms) required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
