Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Industrial Millwright to join our dynamic manufacturing facility. Responsibilities
- Install, align, and assemble machinery using schematics, technical drawings, and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on manufacturing equipment to prevent downtime.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems utilizing tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and multimeters.
- Repair or replace defective components including motors, belts, gears, valves, and wiring in accordance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret schematics, control diagrams for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical systems.
- Conduct diagnostics on high voltage and low voltage electrical systems; perform repairs following safety protocols.
- Operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts for elevated maintenance tasks.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, maintenance logs, and asset histories.
- Collaborate with technical sales teams when necessary to support customer service efforts related to equipment performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations including HVAC/R systems maintenance and proper handling of HVAC components.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial mechanic or millwright within a manufacturing facility environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in welding (including welding), hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams accurately; familiarity with control systems such as PLCs is essential.
- Experience working with precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and other tools for alignment and calibration.
- Knowledge of industrial electrician practices including troubleshooting high voltage (HV) and low voltage (LV) electrical circuits.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters, ammeters, and analyzers for electrical analysis skills assessment.
- Ability to operate industrial equipment including scissor lifts safely; valid certification preferred.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment with a focus on maintenance of complex machinery.
- Strong customer service orientation when working with internal teams or external clients during field service activities.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to interpret schematics and technical documentation clearly.
- Military background or experience in industrial maintenance roles within disciplined environments is considered an asset.
