We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to provide comprehensive technical support within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware, software, and network systems to ensure seamless operations. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to support a diverse range of IT infrastructure components across multiple operating systems.
Duties
- Provide technical support and assistance to end-users via help desk tools such as ServiceNow and Jira
- Manage and troubleshoot computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals across Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems
- Configure and maintain computer networks including LAN, VPN, firewall settings, and other network infrastructure components
- Support software applications including Microsoft Office suite and other enterprise tools
- Perform software troubleshooting, updates, and installations to resolve user issues efficiently
- Assist with operating system deployment, updates, and maintenance for Windows, macOS, and Linux environments
- Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure components such as servers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal performance
- Document issues and resolutions accurately using BMC Remedy or ServiceNow workflows
- Support the setup and configuration of remote access solutions for secure connectivity
- Collaborate with team members to improve IT processes and implement new technology solutions
Skills
- Proven experience in technical support, desktop support, or IT support roles
- Strong knowledge of computer management including hardware repair and software troubleshooting
- Proficiency with operating systems: Windows, macOS, Linux
- Experience with computer networking concepts such as LAN setup, VPN configuration, firewall management
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure components including servers and network devices
- Ability to use help desk tools like ServiceNow, Jira, BMC Remedy effectively
- Knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Office suite
- Understanding of security protocols such as VPNs and firewalls for secure remote access
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service-oriented approach
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
