Aerotek's Client is looking for a skilled and dependable Welder/Fabricator to join our team supporting industrial, oilfield, and field‑based fabrication projects across the region. This role is hands-on, fast‑paced, and ideal for someone who takes pride in high‑quality workmanship, safety, and professionalism.

Perform structural and pipe welding on equipment, components, and field installations.

Fabricate, fit, and assemble steel structures according to drawings, prints, and job instructions.

Conduct accurate field measurements and interpret isometric drawings.

Prep materials, tools, and equipment for each job.

Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in both shop and field environments.

Collaborate with supervisors, project managers, and crew members to complete work efficiently and safely.

Ensure all welds meet required quality and code standards.

Proficient welding and fabrication ability; must be able to pass a weld test.

Experience with SMAW, FCAW, and MIG processes.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.

Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work in physically demanding outdoor environments.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Ability to pass routine drug testing.
Preferred Experience
-
1+ year of welding or fabrication experience (shop or field).

Oilfield or drilling rig experience.
-
Familiarity with rig components, substructures, pipe racks, and related equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cheyenne, WY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
