Job Summary
ISO 9001:2015 certified company is seeking motivated, detail-oriented 1st and 2nd shift CNC Punch Press Operators.
In this role, you will operate a punch press, perform preventative maintenance on the machines and tooling helping to ensure we produce precise metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications for on time delivery. It is also beneficial to understand, or learn G-CODE programming.
Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, efficient workflow, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate punch press while maintaining efficient production standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work order specifications to determine customer's quality requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to inspect parts for accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC Punch Press machinery.
- Sharpen, adjust and maintain tooling to ensure high quality products are being processed.
- Maintain and adjust machine settings based on material measurements, quality inspections, forming, cutting and tapping operations to maintain tight tolerances.
- Coordinate with fabrication team and operations manager to ensure proper fit and finish of sheet metal components for the next operation in the process .
- Follow "ALL" safety protocols diligently while operating any company equipment.
- Maintain and document detailed records of production run volumes, product inspections, and machine maintenance activities on work orders as required by ISO-9001:2015 certification.
Experience
- Proven experience operating punch presses or similar manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CNC programming for Amada punch presses.
- Skilled in blueprint reading and using precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers and PIN gauges to check products in accordance with ISO procedures.
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including but not limited to, punching, stamping, forming, welding, metal finishing and assembly techniques.
- Must have ability to use hand tools, punch tool sharpening equipment, forklifts, and other manufacturing machinery safely.
- Must have basic reading and math skills necessary for determining work order directives and calculating precise measurements during setup and inspection.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.20 - $21.00 per hour
