Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician Helper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist experienced technicians in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and related mechanical equipment. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment while supporting essential property maintenance services. At least 1 to 2 years experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and ventilation equipment
- Support the setup and troubleshooting of refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration and commercial refrigeration units
- Help with plumbing connections, refrigerant charging, and equipment repairs using appropriate tools like ohmmeters and welding equipment
- Participate in field service activities including routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and system inspections
- Follow safety protocols during all tasks to ensure a secure work environment
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used for each service call
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with construction sites or property maintenance is preferred
- Service technician experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or appliance repair is highly advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge related to HVAC design, schematics interpretation, boiler operation, or welding is a plus
- Hands-on experience with field service operations involving air conditioning systems or ammonia refrigeration enhances your candidacy
- Ability to operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment confidently
- Knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Commercial Refrigeration), and mechanical systems is desirable
- Driver’s license with a clean record is required for travel between job sites
