Summary

We are seeking a Concrete Foreman to join our team at Paul Reed Construction. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a crew and finishing concrete surfaces and ensuring high-quality workmanship on various construction projects throughout the region.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate saw cutting and sealing crews on highway and road construction projects.
Ensure proper layout, timing, and execution of saw cuts and joint sealing operations.
Operate and maintain saw cutting and sealing equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Read and interpret project plans, specifications.
Monitor work progress and ensure compliance with DOT standards and project specifications.
Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and crew time records.
Train and mentor crew members in safe and efficient work practices.
Communicate effectively with project managers, inspectors, and other trades on-site.
Work under the Concrete Superintendent's leadership to execute the job.
Prepare and finish concrete surfaces according to specifications.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in saw cutting and joint sealing in heavy highway or civil construction.
Proven leadership experience in a foreman or supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of concrete pavement behavior, joint layout, and sealing materials.
Ability to operate saw cutting machines, air compressors, and sealing equipment.
Familiarity with DOT specifications and construction standards.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel as required by project schedules.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. (CDL a plus)
