JOB DESCRIPTION
- Blue print reading knowledge for structural steel. Should also have a welding back ground flux core welding.
- Assemble from shop drawings; stairs, rails, platforms made out of steel

Job Summary
We are actively seeking a skilled and dependable Welder to join our team on the first shift. This position offers an immediate start for qualified candidates eager to contribute to fabrication and construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong welding expertise, including MIG, TIG, and FCAW processes, along with experience reading blueprints and schematics. This role is vital in ensuring high-quality welds on various materials such as sheet metal and ductwork, adhering to safety standards and industry codes. Duties
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, FCAW, and welding techniques on diverse materials including sheet metal and ductwork.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute fabrication tasks.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment efficiently.
- Conduct precision measurements with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure weld quality.
- Assist with rigging, pipe threading, assembly, and mechanical tasks as needed on construction sites or manufacturing facilities.
- Follow ASME codes & standards to maintain compliance during welding and fabrication processes.
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely to transport materials or equipment within work areas.
- Support fabrication of structural components by cutting, welding, grinding, and assembling parts according to specifications.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to welding, rigging, and machinery operation.
Experience
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards relevant to welding practices.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations required for measurements and fabrication adjustments.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in pipe threading, soldering, assembly, rigging, and mechanical knowledge is preferred.
- Prior experience working with schematics for ductwork or structural components in manufacturing or construction environments.
