Project Manager

Unique Metal Fabrication, LLC a leading provider of fabricated custom structural and miscellaneous steel based in Pittsburg, KS, is experiencing rapid growth. We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of Project Manager.

Role

· Read and Interpret Construction Plans and Specifications.

· Work with General Contractors and Subcontractors to achieve successful projects.

· Oversee the Subcontractor and Vendor procurement by supervising the completion of buyout, scope of work review, contract writing, insurance, and bonding reviews, etc.

· Process all Submittals, RFI s, Change Order Proposals, Owner Billings, Time Sheet Management

· Ensure the preparation of timely Owner Billings via the verification of work-in-place quantities/billings from Subcontractors and Suppliers.

· Prepare monthly cost projections which forecast total estimated costs at completion.

· Oversight of the creation and monitoring of Project Schedules and production of progress updates

· Build and maintain long-term relationships with General contractors to ensure future work.

· Foster a positive and professional image of Unique Metals through effective communication and relationship-building.

Skills

· The fortitude of juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Multi-tasking with a sense of urgency while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy is crucial

· Effective communication skills to motivate the team

· Industry knowledge, preferably local

· Ability to read and understand construction documents to perform accurate quantity takeoffs

Qualifications

· 3-5 years of related experience in the construction industry. Project management.

· Experience in Construction Management, or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

· Strong understanding of the construction industry, including market trends, client needs, and competitive landscape.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and CRM software.

· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

· A personable and approachable demeanor, with a knack for networking and engaging with potential clients.

· Must be able to multi-task on multiple projects in various states of the construction process.
