Overview:
Our client in Attleboro, MA has an IMMEDIATE need for an experienced Quality Control (Welder) to inspect custom fabricated parts. Will perform light to medium welding. Must be skilled at controlling welding heat levels. Experience with MIG and TIG welding required, and MUST be able to easily read and understand blueprints.
Hours: Full Time / Monday - Friday / 7:00AM - 3:30PM
Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Inspect welded components and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and quality standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and inspection criteria to verify accuracy of finished work
- Identify weld defects (e.g., cracks, porosity, incomplete fusion) and document findings
- Maintain detailed inspection reports, records, and quality documentation
- Collaborate with welders and production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Participate in quality audits and support root cause analysis for any identified non-conformities.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality assurance protocols aligned with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Manufacturing and sheet metal experience; minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in both TIG and MIG welding techniques for a variety of materials and applications
- High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to fabricate components to precise specifications
