Responsibilities
- Smooth and finish freshly poured concrete using hand tools, power tools, and trowels to achieve specified textures and finishes
- Set forms, align rebar, and prepare surfaces according to blueprints and schematics to ensure precise concrete placement
- Operate heavy equipment such as concrete mixers, pumps, and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Install rebar, metal studs, or other reinforcement materials to strengthen concrete structures
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to follow project specifications and ensure quality standards are met
- Perform demolition, restoration, or renovation tasks involving concrete surfaces or related structures
- Apply caulking, stucco, or plastering techniques for finishing touches on concrete or masonry work
- Use hand tools like trowels, floats, screeds, and levels along with power tools for detailed work
- Coordinate with carpentry, roofing, masonry, or flooring teams to ensure seamless project execution
- Heavy lifting of materials and equipment is often required to meet project demands
Requirements
- Proven experience in concrete finishing or related construction roles with site experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, machinery, and equipment used in concrete work including mixers and pumps
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in rebar installation, form setting, masonry work, and metal stud framing as needed
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites involving heavy equipment operation
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting, standing for long periods, bending, and working at heights if necessary
- Valid driver’s license with commercial driving experience preferred for site mobility tasks
- Knowledge of renovation techniques including plastering, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation or roofing is advantageous
