Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with the ability to work on construction sites and in manufacturing environments. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Duties
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on various materials including sheet metal and steel.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and ASME codes & standards to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication of components.
- Operate forklifts and telehandlers safely to move materials around the construction site or manufacturing facility.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while meeting quality standards.
Skills
- Construction site experience is preferred for understanding job site dynamics.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, and stick welding techniques.
- Familiarity with mechanical tools such as calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills for precise measurements.
- Experience with fabrication processes including assembly and welding.
- Ability to operate telehandlers, forklifts, and perform rigging tasks safely.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of manufacturing processes.
