Journeyman Pipefitter – Full-Time
SOS Plumbing & Heating is a locally owned, full-service Plumbing and Heating Contractor specializing in both residential and commercial boiler systems and plumbing systems. We are currently seeking a licensed Journeyman Pipefitter with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated tradesperson who values professionalism, teamwork, and long-term career development in the mechanical trades.
( We are looking for a tech with oil experience)
Requirements:
- Valid Journeyman Pipefitter license
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in pipefitting or mechanical system installation
- Clean driving record (RMV check required)
- Must pass a full background check
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping layouts, and jobsite safety protocols
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair pipe systems in residential and light commercial environments
- Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical specifications
- Perform pipe threading, soldering, and assembly of steel, copper, and related materials
- Work with hydronic heating systems and mechanical equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient worksite
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and clients
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with various pipe materials (e.g., black iron, copper, PEX)
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with jobsite protocols, safety procedures, and mechanical codes
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take pride in quality craftsmanship
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
