We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sheet Metal Fabrication Foreman specializing in HVAC systems to lead our fabrication team with energy and precision. Key Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Managing scheduling of WO’s and jobs adapting to changing timelines and verifying timelines with PM’s and job crews.
- Review WO’s and check material requirements prior to delegating.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, performance review and training of employees.
- Conduct site visits to understand customers’ HVAC needs, identify potential problems, and present solutions.
- Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring that all safety protocols are clearly communicated and followed.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for materials to meet production requirements.
- Manage preventative maintenance for equipment
- Assist with facilitating post-sale transitions with installation managers and installers.
- Oversee the purchasing of materials for the shop and maintenance items for equipment upkeep.
- Supervise activities of the shop to obtain optimum productivity and accuracy.
- Monitor and report on progress of the project to management.
- Coordinate and monitor shipping and receiving schedules to ensure timely delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- 2-5+ years in HVAC fabrication, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Understanding of HVAC systems, components, and installation processes.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills will be required on a daily basis.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proven ability to manage employees in order to motivate; foster a productive, accountable, and safe work environment.
- Reliable and self-motivated.
- Demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot operational issues, maintain equipment, and make proactive improvements to processes
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
