Security Installation Technician (Access Control) Immediate Openings, People Focused Team!

Full-Time | $35-$45 per hour | Onsite in Framingham 95% with occasional travel as needed

Duties

Install, test, and commission commercial security systems
Roughing in, terminating, and testing copper cabling. Fiber termination experience is a plus
Installing pathway supports such as j hooks and ladder trays
Servicing/troubleshooting network cabling in a commercial environment
Installing closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels and fiber enclosures
Perform installation of security related equipment for commercial industries, including installing, testing, and commissioning door hardware & camera systems
Willingness to travel to national job sites as needed

Skills

Strong understanding of computer networking principles related to security systems and remote access software.
Mechanical knowledge for installing hardware components such as sensors, locks, CCTV cameras, and alarm devices.
Experience working as a service technician in security or telecommunication fields with a focus on low voltage systems.
Knowledge of security system components including CCTV cameras, sensors, alarms (fire alarm systems), IDS devices, surveillance equipment, and locksmithing basics.
Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Manufacturer certifications or AV/fiber experience a plus.
