Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician and/or apprentice with Commercial experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in residential, industrial and commercial electrical work, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This position requires hands-on experience with various electrical systems, including low and high voltage applications. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs meet safety standards and comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC). This position is 1099 and job locations range from Wayne County, Macomb County, Oakland County and sometimes beyond.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial, residential and industrial settings
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various electrical tasks
Conduct tests using an ammeter or ohmmeter to ensure proper functioning of electrical systems
Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with NEC regulations during all installations and repairs
Collaborate with construction teams on-site to integrate electrical systems into new builds
Maintain a clean and safe work environment on construction sites

Experience

Proven experience as an Electrician in industrial, residential and commercial settings is preferred
Familiarity with low voltage and high voltage systems is essential
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment
Experience reading blueprints and schematics for effective installation and troubleshooting
Background in construction site experience is highly desirable
Frame carpentry skills are a plus but not mandatory
