Position Overview
Eco Fire Sprinklers, Inc., a well-established C-16 licensed fire sprinkler contractor in California since 1986, is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to join our team.
As the single point of responsibility for assigned projects, you will oversee the full project lifecycle — from contract commencement through design, permitting, construction, and successful completion. You will manage commercial fire sprinkler projects in accordance with NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20, and NFPA 24, while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is a key leadership role that requires strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while driving project profitability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact and single source of responsibility for both the company and the customer throughout the entire project.
- Manage all aspects of fire sprinkler projects, contract administration, procurement, scheduling, and execution.
- Oversee project coordination from design and permits through material delivery, installation, and closeout.
- Track project progress, job costs, profitability, and prepare budget forecasts and progress reports.
- Coordinate with superintendents and field crews to schedule field labor, installation sequencing, and inspections.
- Manage change orders, and ensure accurate material lists and documentation.
- Lead internal coordination with Estimating, Engineering, Fabrication, Accounting, and Service departments.
- Attend project meetings, pre-construction meetings, and company sales/construction meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, developers, vendors, subcontractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Identify and resolve construction issues and field challenges in a timely manner.
- Actively support business development efforts and help advance the company’s technical capabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Background in Engineering or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of progressive experience in project management of fire sprinkler or mechanical construction projects.
- Strong working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 24 standards
- Proven ability to manage full project lifecycles, including financial tracking and cost control
- Experience with California fire sprinkler codes, permitting processes, and AHJ requirements is highly desired
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently while effectively leading cross-functional teams
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Procore project management software
Physical Requirements
- Commute to Copperopolis Office
- Willingness to travel to job sites in the San Francisco Bay area.
Schedule: Monday – Friday (hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM may vary from based on business needs)
Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
