Senior Transportation Project Manager (Civil Engineering)

A respected engineering consulting firm that partners with public agencies on infrastructure projects is looking to add a Senior Transportation Project Manager to its team. This role focuses on roadway and transportation design and offers the opportunity to lead projects from early planning through final delivery.

What You’ll Be Doing

Take ownership of transportation and roadway projects, managing scope, budget, schedule, and team coordination
Work closely with public-sector clients and agencies to navigate funding programs, requirements, and compliance
Support proposals, change orders, and client agreements while maintaining clear communication throughout the project lifecycle
Lead the design and development of roadway and transportation plans for infrastructure improvements
Build corridor models and develop roadway geometry using industry-standard tools
Prepare construction drawings and detailed engineering plans using CAD platforms
Perform design calculations, quantity takeoffs, and maintain accurate technical documentation
Develop reports and supporting project materials for clients and stakeholders
Visit project sites as needed to support design validation and project progress
Collaborate with internal teams to keep projects moving efficiently

Tools & Technology

You’ll likely have experience with:

Civil engineering design software (AutoCAD or similar platforms)
Roadway and corridor modeling tools (such as Civil 3D)
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related ABET-accredited program
Around 8–15 years of experience in transportation or roadway engineering
Strong background in managing infrastructure or public works projects
Ability to lead both technically and from a project management standpoint
Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain)
Comfortable working in the field when needed and following safety protocols
