Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on military vehicles, equipment, and systems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
Conduct electrical work including soldering, wiring harness assembly, and testing with ohmmeters and multimeters to ensure optimal functionality
Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques such as sheet metal work and rigging to modify or repair components
Operate precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers for accurate assembly and repairs
Execute heavy lifting tasks safely while adhering to strict safety protocols during maintenance or installation procedures
Follow detailed schematics and technical diagrams to assemble or disassemble complex mechanical or electrical systems
Support customer service efforts by providing technical assistance and explaining maintenance procedures clearly to team members or clients when applicable

Skills

Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic with a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical systems
Extensive knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with welding, sheet metal fabrication, soldering, and assembly processes
Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including heavy lifting techniques and safety standards
Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments accurately
Strong understanding of military protocols combined with mechanical knowledge for specialized equipment handling
Excellent customer service skills paired with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in high-pressure environments
