Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems including control panels, wiring, and circuit boards using tools such as soldering irons, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings created with AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks to ensure accurate system implementation.
- Support project scheduling by coordinating tasks effectively to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis on electrical failures or malfunctions to identify underlying issues within complex systems such as FPGA-based modules or SoC (System on Chip) components.
- Collaborate with design teams utilizing SystemVerilog, MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C++, or Perl for firmware development and system simulation.
- Perform signal processing tasks and troubleshoot electronic components within vision inspection systems or surface mount technology assemblies.
- Use advanced mechanical knowledge alongside electrical expertise to integrate mechanical components with electrical systems using CAD tools like MicroStation or Revit.
- Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during installation and maintenance activities.
- Support manufacturing processes by working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM processors, Arduino platforms, and firmware updates.
- Document all work activities thoroughly through detailed reports and update project documentation regularly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Electrical Journeyman with a strong background in electrical systems installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA development, PCB design, surface mount technology (SMT), and soldering techniques.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of system design principles involving SoC architectures, signal processing, and firmware development using C++, Python, MATLAB or Simulink.
- Familiarity with electrical standards including NEC regulations and safety protocols.
- Ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently within complex electronic systems; experience with debugging tools like ohmmeters or vision inspection systems is a plus.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with electrical expertise for integrating mechanical components into electrical assemblies.
- Strong problem-solving skills complemented by excellent communication abilities for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
