Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration units, Commercial Ice Machines, air conditioning systems, and HVAC equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
- Repair or replace refrigeration components including compressors, condensers, evaporators, and ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC/R systems and ensure proper functioning of associated piping and drainage.
- Utilize brazing skills to repair or modify metal components of refrigeration or HVAC equipment as needed.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose problems.
- Support field service operations by responding promptly to service requests at various properties or facilities.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs, and reports for all repairs performed.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks related to air conditioning units, appliances, or other mechanical systems to uphold safety standards.
- Operate tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment effectively during troubleshooting procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in refrigeration, HVAC/R systems, or property maintenance.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Experience working with commercial ice machines
- Skilled in plumbing, brazing, and general construction tasks related to HVAC/R systems.
- Familiarity with field service operations including troubleshooting on-site issues efficiently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle if required.
- Knowledge of appliance repair and property maintenance best practices.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively during troubleshooting processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong communication abilities to coordinate repairs effectively.
