Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, and other mechanical systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Perform field service tasks such as equipment repair, component replacement, and calibration using tools like ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to prevent failures and extend system lifespan.
- Assist with plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems and property maintenance projects ensuring all work complies with safety standards.
- Diagnose electrical issues within HVAC systems using appropriate testing devices; perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Support property maintenance by addressing appliance repair needs, welding tasks, boiler servicing, and general mechanical repairs as required.
- Operate company vehicles safely as a driver to reach job sites efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws.
- Collaborate with team members on HVAC design modifications or upgrades to improve system efficiency and compliance with regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with a strong background in construction, mechanical systems, or property maintenance.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems
- Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in equipment repair, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with electrical troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters; ability to read technical drawings accurately.
- Experience working with HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units.Refrigeration experiance a plus
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by field service expertise in diverse environments.
- Ability to operate specialized tools safely; welding skills are a plus.
