About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and oversee electrical projects within the infrastructure sector. This role requires a dynamic professional capable of managing all phases of project execution, from initial planning and design to construction and commissioning. The ideal candidate will possess extensive electrical engineering expertise, construction management experience, and proficiency with industry-standard project management tools. Your leadership will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards, supporting our commitment to building reliable and efficient electrical systems.
Requirements
- Lead the planning, and execution of electrical infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and system schematics.
- Develop detailed project schedules utilizing Primavera P6 or similar tools to monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders to facilitate seamless project workflows.
- Prepare accurate construction estimates using construction estimating software; review and approve budgets to maintain financial control.
- Oversee procurement processes through platforms such as ProCore for document management; manage contracts ensuring compliance with project scope and legal requirements.
- Monitor construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and technical specifications related to electrical system design.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings; ensure proper implementation during installation phases.
- Manage project documentation including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), progress reports, and closeout documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify work quality; address issues promptly to minimize delays.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes such as NEC; oversee testing, commissioning, and system integration processes.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilize project management tools like Primavera P6 for scheduling; apply time management strategies to meet critical deadlines.
Requirements
- Proven track record managing large-scale electrical infrastructure projects within construction or utility sectors.
- Extensive experience with electrical engineering principles, system design, blueprint reading, and schematics interpretation.
- Strong background in construction site management combined with electrical experience.
- Familiarity with industry-standard software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, proficiency in construction estimating is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant codes such as NEC (National Electrical Code) and safety regulations governing electrical systems.
- Demonstrated ability in contract negotiation, project coordination, and construction management practices.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on time management; ability to prioritize tasks effectively across multiple projects.
- Prior experience in working on replacement of poles, replacement of lines, substations and electrical system upgrades.
