Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Pipefitter to join our dynamic construction and manufacturing teams. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems across various projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards and industry codes. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble piping systems.
- Cut, thread, bend, and install pipes using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as pipe threading machines.
- Perform welding tasks including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and other welding techniques adhering to ASME codes & standards.
- Fit fire sprinkler systems, HVAC piping, plumbing lines, and pipeline assemblies with precision.
- Use calipers, soldering tools, and schematics to ensure accurate measurements and connections.
- Rig and lift heavy pipe sections safely on construction sites or manufacturing facilities while following proper rigging procedures.
- Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of piping systems to prevent failures or leaks.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all work complies with safety protocols, building codes, and project specifications.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Pipefitter in construction sites or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, soldering, and pipe bending techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of piping systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, and pipeline assembly.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, ASME codes & standards, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as calipers, pipe threaders, power tools, and other mechanical equipment.
- Knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting and tube bending processes is a plus.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting tasks.
- Experience with rigging, construction site safety practices, and maintenance procedures.
