Job Summary:
Plan, layout, and perform all types of Carpentry work in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards. Work in other crafts at levels appropriate to training and skills as requested by project supervision.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Performing Construction Tasks: Execute tasks such as framing, concrete work, installation, and general carpentry based on project requirements.
Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment, and information is available for the work.
Reading Blueprints: Interpret and follow construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise work.
High proficiency in all related trade mathematics.
Inspect subordinates' work, ensure accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications, explain deficiencies, and take any necessary corrective action.
Produce high-quality work, safely and productively at all times.
Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.
Clean and organize work areas, remove debris, and maintain a clean and orderly construction site.
Maintaining Safety Standards: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
Work cooperatively with construction team members, form setters, concrete finishers, contractors, and supervisors to meet project deadlines and goals.
Regular attendance is required according to company policy to ensure the crew can operate at the normal efficiency level.
Follow instructions and comprehend construction needs.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Basic use and knowledge of standard hand tools and equipment.
Proficiency in operating construction tools, equipment, and machinery.
Excellent painting, cutting, drilling, and assembling of structures.
Able to perform basic math.
Able to read, interpret, and understand drawings, instructions, and blueprints.
Able to use various hand tools (pickaxes, trench shovels, sledgehammers, concrete saws, mini excavators, etc.).
Working knowledge of general hand tools, power tools, and compaction equipment.
Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self or others.
Able to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Relevant certifications or licenses may be required depending on local regulations.

Education and Experience:

High School or equivalent.
Minimum two (2) years’ field experience in the construction industry.
Must have experience in the industrial/commercial construction industry and have an in-depth understanding of the carpentry trade.
Previous experience or the completion of a relevant apprenticeship is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking on uneven surfaces, including ground in varying weather conditions.
Work in a variety of weather conditions with exposure to the outdoor elements.
May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist frequently.
Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry, or feel objects frequently.
Bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, twist, climb, and balance repeatedly or continually throughout shift.
Continually works near heavy equipment, power tools, and moving machinery.
Exposure to the outdoor environment with machinery/equipment in the surrounding area.
Able to push/pull 80+ lbs.
Able to lift/carry 80+ lbs.
Able to wear personal protective equipment is required, including but not limited to steel-toe shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, vest, etc.
