Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee complex infrastructure projects within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all phases of project execution, from initial planning and scheduling to final completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in construction management software, and a comprehensive understanding of construction regulations and safety standards. Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent project management software to ensure timely project delivery.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to establish project scopes, budgets, and timelines.
- Manage construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and contracts to facilitate accurate execution of project specifications.
- Oversee construction site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
- Monitor project budgets closely; control costs through effective cost management practices and regular financial reporting.
- Lead project teams by assigning tasks, managing resources, and ensuring effective communication across all stakeholders.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress, quality of work, and adherence to schedules.
- Utilize construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid or similar software for accurate cost forecasting.
- Manage project documentation including change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and regulatory compliance reports.
- Ensure construction schedule coordination aligns with overall project timelines; proactively address delays or issues.
- Facilitate contract negotiations and manage contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement best practices in construction management software to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Skills
- Extensive experience with construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven track record managing complex infrastructure or commercial construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction scheduling techniques and construction regulatory compliance standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed construction plans accurately.
- Excellent leadership skills in managing teams within a construction management environment.
- Deep understanding of cost management strategies specific to the construction industry.
- Effective project coordination skills with an emphasis on time management and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with managing contracts and ensuring adherence to legal requirements in construction projects.
- Ability to navigate construction site environments safely while maintaining high standards of quality control.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders including clients, vendors, regulatory agencies, and team members.
