Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of equipment, enhance property safety, and improve overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, refrigeration units, boilers, plumbing fixtures, and related mechanical equipment.
- Diagnose and repair issues with air conditioning units, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), appliances, and other mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals.
- Conduct field service tasks such as replacing parts, welding repairs, and equipment calibration to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design documents to accurately troubleshoot complex systems.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs for compliance and future reference.
- Operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters to test electrical circuits and ensure proper functioning of equipment.
- Assist with property maintenance projects including welding, plumbing repairs, boiler servicing, and general mechanical work as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with a strong understanding of HVAC/R systems.
- Knowledge of construction principles related to building systems and property maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), boiler operation, and equipment repair.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by the ability to read schematics and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and performing welding or mechanical repairs.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred.
- Additional certifications in HVAC/R, refrigeration, plumbing or welding are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay: $29.42 - $50.00 per hour
