Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install a variety of structures including framing, siding, cabinetry, doors, windows, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Perform framing work for walls, floors, roofs, and concrete forms with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Install and repair drywall, plastering surfaces for smooth finishes or textured effects; apply caulking and stucco as needed.
- Execute rebar installation for concrete reinforcement and assist with masonry tasks such as bricklaying or stonework.
- Conduct roofing repairs or installations using appropriate materials; handle heavy lifting safely during material transport and assembly.
- Support restoration projects by performing water damage remediation, mold remediation, or structural repairs following industry standards.
- Fabricate custom components in manufacturing settings or on-site using woodworking skills; operate CNC machinery when required.
- Install flooring, tiles, water-resistant surfaces, or siding to enhance building aesthetics and durability.
- Assist with electrical or plumbing tasks when qualified; support remodeling efforts including fixture installation and metal stud framing.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction sites with a strong background in carpentry disciplines such as trim carpentry, frame carpentry, or roofing.
- Proficiency with hand tools (saws, hammers, chisels), power tools (drills, saws), and specialized equipment used in construction.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately to guide project execution.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes to assist with material planning and project timelines.
- Experience with concrete forming, plastering, siding installation, cabinetry setup, door hanging, and flooring installation preferred.
- Familiarity with restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration is a plus.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting; ability to work at heights safely; comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
