Job Overview
The Cabinet Builder is responsible for producing high-quality standard and custom cabinetry in alignment with Kaemark’s craftsmanship standards. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality guidelines, and the ability to meet production deadlines while maintaining excellence in workmanship.
The Cabinet Builder will follow all company policies outlined in the Kaemark Employee Handbook and comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate tools and equipment safely and in accordance with company guidelines
- Follow all Kaemark quality standards to ensure superior finished products
- Complete assigned jobs and projects accurately and within established timelines
- Adhere to the weekly production schedule set by Production Management
- Assemble standard and custom cabinetry according to work orders and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements
- Apply finishes such as sealant, varnish, or paint when required
- Inspect materials and components during assembly; accept or reject based on quality standards
- Perform quality control checks to ensure accuracy and proper finishing of all products
- Conduct routine equipment preventive maintenance (PM) and complete required checklists
- Track material usage by job and report discrepancies
- Perform daily housekeeping to maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Collaborate with the Department Supervisor to prioritize and complete orders
- Comply with all local building codes and workplace safety regulations
- Perform additional duties, special projects, or tasks as assigned by leadership
Requirements
- Proven experience in cabinet building, woodworking, or related carpentry roles within the construction or restoration industry.
- Proficiency with construction estimating tools and techniques.
- Strong skills in trim carpentry, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, drywall finishing (plastering/stucco), and flooring installation.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws), power tools (e.g., drills, sanders), CNC machinery for fabrication tasks.
- Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete forming, roofing basics, plumbing connections, electrical experience is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently on various job sites.
- Experience with restoration projects including mold remediation and water damage restoration is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving skills.
- Valid construction site experience with adherence to safety regulations.

- Ability to visualize and construct cabinetry based on specifications
- Capable of meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs consistently
- Willingness to work overtime as needed with management approval

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
