SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Experienced Plumber is responsible for performing commercial and industrial plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements. This role supports new construction, renovations, and service work, ensuring systems are installed safely, efficiently, and to specification. The position requires close coordination with supervisors, field teams, and other trades to support timely and high-quality project execution.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and piping systems for commercial and industrial projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans; measure, cut, and fit piping materials accurately.
- Join pipes using threading, solvent welding, brazing, grooving, and soldering techniques.
- Install and maintain gas, heating, cooling, and mechanical piping systems as required.
- Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, lifts, and jobsite equipment safely.
- Troubleshoot plumbing issues and perform on-site repairs and adjustments.
- Follow supervisor direction and coordinate work activities with field crews and other trades.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in compliance with company and jobsite safety standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of project and operational needs.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong working knowledge of commercial and industrial plumbing systems.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including IPC and NFPA 13.
- Ability to work from drawings, specifications, and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and lift 50+ pounds.
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum five years of plumbing experience in commercial or industrial environments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Journeyman or Master Plumber license
- Prior experience working in Guam or similar remote or island project environments.
- Experience with heavy equipment, survey tools, or layout work.
